@ornitorrinco01 I’d say that america has the highest theft rate in the world where as gun crimes is considered to be second. but even so, it does contribute to the fact that america is unsafe place to be in than compared to europe or asia.

@ornitorrinco0 I’d say that’s a debatable point considering that new york still has property crimes & common theft that still goes on. where as crimes here in sydney is mostly related to alcohol fueled violence and illegal drug dealings.

@ornitorrinco01 the scale of crimes in new york is completely different from sydney as well as from other major cities such as london, berlin or tokyo.

@ornitorrinco01 No, I infact highly doubt your claims because any moronic person can easily come on youtube and make this up. And you base your claims on how ny is safer than sydney is truly questionable seeing that new york is a major city and like any other major city new york is not exclusive from crimes. I use to work for an american company mate and even all the american managers say that crimes in america is pretty bad. And I dont see how here in sydney we trump people on health etc mate

@MrMaffew87 Also there are not loads of New Yorkers moving to Sydney. In fact did you know there is actually a growing number of Aussies living in NYC? Especially since they introduced the E3 visa that allows professionally qualified Aussies to work over there.

“there is more than enough evidence that proves america does have the highest crime rates in the world mate.”

Is there really? Then please do provide references for some of this evidence for me to read for myself.

@MrMaffew87 “and I highly doubt that the standard of living in ny has improved at all seeing that americans are travelling over to oz. especially going over to sydney”

Yes, you highly doubt it because you have never travelled there and seen for yourself, if you did then you would know that the standard of living in NYC is not too bad. Sure it is better here in Sydney, because here we trump them when it comes to health, education, social services etc.

Once again you are trying to misquote or misrepresent what I have said. Can you show me where I have said that Sydney is much more dangerous than NYC?

@ornitorrinco01 Research & statistics can be contradicted by other sources as well as being decieving and inconsistent. I highly doubt that u did spend any time in ny or in america to claim that there are no crimes at all. There is proof that america is an unstable country due to it’s crimes as well as other traits. To say that it doesnt have crimes nor having the highest crime rates in the world is pure fallacy. every major city in the world has crimes and ny and syd are no exception

@MrMaffew87 Personal stories are anecdotal, inconsistent and very prone to bias. Properly collated statistical evidence beats them every time. The real facts are that the USA does not have the highest crime rate in the world, the crime rate in NYC and the standard of living in that city have improved dramatically. Yes I have spent some time in NYC so I can make the comparison well.

@EZBreezy187 Unfortunately you have not proposed any “central argument” for me to work around. An amusing collection of erroneous statements, that serve only to display your ignorance, does not constitute a central argument. By the way, it may surprise you to know that the British colonies in America were used as a prison too, in fact more than twice the number of convicts were transported to the American colonies than were sent to Australia. Enjoy your “exciting life” :)

wow..as a Chicagoan, that’ll be moving to sydney hills area before the end of the year, may i extend my apologies for my unstatesmanlike countryman. No wonder Aussies don’t like Americans! I assure you, we’re not all that foul & obnoxious. Just wanted to say from the research I’VE been doing, sounds like people LOVE living in Sydney! I am excited to explore Australia’s beauty and meet people who haven’t already been in touch with “toxic” Americans, and so will be willing to give me a chance.
